Must-see Video: Grandfather’s Clock

I shot a video yesterday when Mike unveiled his clock and presented it to Mom on Mother’s Day. I added some pics, too.

Make sure your speakers are on. Those who know her will realize she was a bit overcome and at a loss for words. 🙂

I hope you enjoy it.

Awesome! Seeing the video wasn’t quite as good as being there in person, but it was a pretty good substitute. Thanks for sharing!

Shan, I wish you could have been there. You don’t often see grandma struggle for words.

What a masterpiece. Mike is so very talented . Truly beautiful and made with so much love. I couldn’t look for a couple of days but so glad I did now. Now that is what Mothers Day is all about Love!! And truly the very best gift of all.

So sweet. I can imagine the emotions she was going through and the memories it must have brought back too.

Mike is very talented and should be proud as can be of the gift and his hard work.

    Kathy:

every time I stare at that Grandfather clock I see the planks of wood on the work bench. I still can’t comprehend how those bits of historic wood became a gorgeous work of art. It is truly a Gift with meaning . . . and Mike is so humble

Thanks for the kind words, everyone.

Bob, I know what you mean. The first time I saw a pile of raw lumber in our garage, I asked him something like, “Where’d you get the junk wood?” LOL.

He is humble about his talent. And critical, too. But I think he’s amazing.
