Blue (BBBC-2017-22)

The twenty-second prompt for the challenge was easy and interesting: pick a color then share seven interesting images featuring that color. It took a while, of course, because I have a whole lotta images stored around here.

This is what I came up with:

Giant Lurking Indian in Richmond

I’d been trying to visit what RoadsideAmerica.com calls the Giant Lurking Indian since a failed attempt in 2015 when it was just too dang hot to venture into the city of Richmond, Virginia on my bike.

Harbor in Rockport, Massachusetts

I stayed overnight in Rockport during a solo road trip to Maine in 2008.

T-shirt Art

There’s nothing quite like souvenir shops in beach towns when it comes to finding tacky t-shirts. This was in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.

Snow Geese at Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge

I’d only had my bike for about a month and a half when that picture was taken.

That pic was captured in 2014 during a trip to San Diego.

I’m a sucker for cool wall murals on blue-sky days. Don’t you just love the shadow? That’s also San Diego, but it was during our first trip to that city in 2012.

In the western part of the US, things are big. Not just the states, the mountains, the trees, the canyons, the rivers, etc.

That last image was captured in 2007 at a state park somewhere between Moscow and Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

That’s the end of my blue exhibit.

    1. Richard, I didn’t notice the shadow when I took the pic. I only noticed it when looking at the pictures. Maybe because we don’t really focus on shadows? A head-scratcher for sure.

  1. I made a few appearances in this post – yay, thanks!

I’m wearing purple and there’s football on in the background, so it must be Dirty Birds, but it really doesn’t look like it from that angle. So when’s your next SD trip gonna be? 😉

    1. I can’t believe that was almost five years ago! If you do get there, be sure to take a selfie in front of it. And there’s a Lucha Libre restaurant somewhere nearby, too.

  2. Great pics, all! How did I not know about the giant lurking Indian in Richmond? On a mission now 😉

My favorite color is blue, and my GS is blue, but I figured no one wanted to see 7 photos of my bike, sonly I chose orange, lol. This really has been so fun doing this challenge. Thanks for suggesting it!

  3. Lynne, I did consider taking the easy way out and posting seven shots of my bike. But I really did choose blue out of the blue!

The Indian is actually visible from I-95 if you know what to look for.
