Sandwich Art (BBBC-2017-10)

It’s been a busy couple of days. After lots of intense staring at computer screens, I almost took the night off. But then I realized I’d mess up my ten-posts-in-a-row streak.

We’re a third of the way through February already. Ack!

The topic for today is favorite sandwich.

I haven’t read anyone else’s post for the day yet, so I’m not sure if others found this one difficult. For me, it was easy. Why? Because I love sandwiches.

Laugh if you will, but I take my sandwiches seriously. Some might say I’m picky. I prefer to say “particular.”

Its hard to pick one favorite, so I’ll list my favorite in a few different categories.

First, Favorite Sandwich Purchased While Traveling. That’s the one pictured above. Thick slabs of Camembert cheese with fresh veggies on a fresh-baked baguette. With Hoegarden as a chaser. YUM. That was at a little cafe in Bruges, 🇧🇪.

Second, Favorite Cold Sandwich Made By Me. Italian Cold Cold, all the way. Preferably on a sub roll. There’s mayo, hots (hot pepper relish in oil), lettuce, raw onions, provolone cheese, a couple different kinds of ham, genoa and  hard salami, vinegar, oil, salt, pepper, oregano, and parmesan cheese.

Third, Favorite Hot Sandwich Made By Me. Grilled ham and provolone, with lettuce, mayo, and fried onions. Served on grilled white bread.

That’s it for me. I hope to catch up on my reading tomorrow.

  1. If I were participating, I wouldn’t have a favorite sandwich by me because I think all sandwiches taste better when someone else makes them. Why is that? The world may never know. 😉
