Valentine’s Day (BBBC-2017-14)

Today’s challenge prompt was easy. What does Valentine’s Day mean to me? Nothing, really. It’s just a contrived “holiday,” in my opinion.ย A day when people feel obligated to buy gifts, express their love, etc.

I prefer spontaneity. I rarely embrace obligation. That’s just me.

Random Heart Rock Found on an English Beach

What are the odds, really, of me walking onto a beach and spotting the one stone among uncountable others with a heart etched onto its surface?

Just look at all of those stones!

That's a Lot of Stones

  1. I don’t *really* subscribe to the idea that our lives are predetermined or anything but sometimes it seems like things are meant to be ๐Ÿ™‚

There are some people who would never see that heart as they walked by. Some people are just tuned-in, I think.

  2. Ditto with Fuzzy…I also think that motorcycle riders are in tune with nature, the surrounding and the sounds more than any other people especially when we are on our bikes. This in turn gets carried over when we are off our bikes as well.

    1. I’m not sure if it’s a rider thing or a personality thing. I do know that I’m more observant than a lot of people, when outdoors anyway. LOL.

  3. Valentine’s Day is not a big thing in Germany. Rather than focussing on doing something on this “special day” one should maybe do something special everyday for a loved one ๐Ÿ˜‰

I love this about you, and it’s a thing we have in common…the observant nature too. I notice the tiniest things, and it often brings Joy and adventure that less-observant people would have missed.
