Ductwork

July 27 - 29, 2007

I was off this weekend. Mike kept working, though (and took pictures!).
Since I wasn't there, I let him narrate this Web installment.

Ductwork (again) - I guess this is one of those things I do well by myself since it
seems that no one is around when I'm installing it. Do ya think it's because of the
110 degree temperature up in the attic space? This isn't finished yet, but I had to
get something installed because soon it'll be time to hang drywall in this area.
There are two "temporary" bedrooms, this is over the "west" bedroom.

This is over the bedrooms, looking towards the main part of the house.

The ductwork over the "east" bedroom.

Return air duct between the two bedrooms.

Same thing, looking in the other direction.

Over to the air conditioned part of the house ...
We have a tiny little window air conditioner that works surprisingly well. I've
continued putting the final touches on, here you see a return air grille.

The other side of the above wall also gets a return air grille.

This is an example of a finish carpenter's best friend.
Caulk. Without it, there'd be a huge gap at this joint.

This is what you will see if you walk up to one of the kitchen windows and
lean your head painfully far to the left. If you want to know what it looks like
in real life, tilt your head to the right. A little farther. Farther. There!
It probably wasn't worth it just to see more caulking, was it?
