Mike had two priorities this weekend. The first, which you see him
working on here, involved installing a pressure regulating valve in
hopes of correcting a water pressure problem we have been having.
Fluctuating pressure = underperforming water heater = COLD WATER

Here he is working on the pipes.

His second priority was getting the trailer ready for transporting the motorcycles.
Spring is in the air, so we want to get the bikes out of hibernation and ready to ride.

It is a pretty good sized trailer. But it isn't set up to carry
motorcycles. So Mike had to install wheel chocks and tie down rings,
which will be used to secure the bikes during transport.

CeCe wasn't happy with me inside of the trailer. Can you
See her head at the lower right-hand corner of the door?

Here's a somewhat closer look. The front wheel
of each motorcycle will be secured in a chock.

The girls had to have a look.

They both fit!

Plus there is still plenty of room in the front of
the trailer and in the back to carry other stuff.

And a close-up of the cool tie-down things Mike bought.

Each consists of a base, which bolts to the floor, and a ring
which can be removed when not in use so it's not in the way.

I was actually doing drywall work when not helping Mike.
Above is an example of a condition called "drywall ass".
It is caused by sitting on a dusty drywall bucket.

While we were working, the girls got a visitor. It is their friend Buddy.
Buddy's Mom, Jean, came for a visit later and brought us some cookies.

Buddy is a young, handsome Golden Retriever.

The girls are always happy to see him.

This is my favorite Buddy photo of the weekend.

Since we'll be going on vacation soon, I have to start practicing with my camera
again. I did manage to snap a few pictures just for fun this weekend (see below). If
you want to see some of my other, non-construction-related pictures, I have

The last photo is my favorite. I call it, In Anticipation of Spring.
