The Kirkpatrick's D.I.Y. Project 2006 (Year Two)
Interior Walls & Plumbing, Part II
April 7 - 10, 2006
I got the weekend off! I have plenty to do here at home,
so I sent Mike off to WV to labor without me. He did lots of
work and even remembered to shoot some documentary photos.
The rough-in for the kitchen sink. It may not
look very exciting, but that was the final link in the
indoor sewer piping, which is now 100% complete.
Water piping for the shower.
The piping to the shower valve is now complete.
Now we just need some fixtures. And a water heater.
The water piping running through the attic space toward the kitchen sink.
Test-fitting of the water heater vent piping.
One of the temporary lighting fixtures Mike installed.
Another of the 4 temporary lighting fixtures Mike installed so now we can see
inside the house, night or day, without having to use the irritating spotlight.
The rough-in for the bathroom sink. Again, that may not sound exciting, but
once Mike installs the fixtures, we'll have running water in the bathroom.
And here's the toilet rough-in. Running water
is good, but a working toilet is even better!
I promise I won't post pictures of anyone using
the toilet just to prove that it works...
The rough-in for the washing machine.
Next weekend, I think Mike needs to install a little more piping.
Then we can work on framing some more of the interior walls.
